- Preparation: Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. Use a primer if necessary, especially on new or highly absorbent surfaces.
- Paint Loading: Pour your chosen water-based paint into the tray. Roll the roller back and forth to evenly load it with paint, ensuring it’s not overly saturated.
- Application: Apply the paint using the roller in a ‘W’ pattern to distribute it evenly. Overlap each pass slightly to avoid lines or missed spots.
- Finishing Touches: After covering the area, gently roll over it in one direction to give it a smooth finish.
- Cleaning: Clean the roller and tray with water immediately after use to maintain their condition and performance for future projects.
